Day 298 – Totally redesigning the “Changeling” series. Simpler shape, with more emphasis on the removeable face and writable surface beneath.

Day 297- Felted an XL crew neck wool sweater, cut it up and pieced it back together as a wrap. These alteration projects begin as a basic concept and evolve as I work with the fabric. Mistakes are incorporated and embraced…mostly.

Day 296 – Constructed a wrap shirt from two XL t-shirts. One of my favorite parts of the process is stitching t-shirt scraps over the existing graphics.

Day 295 – The blanket is finished, and although it is nothing I would ever choose for myself, I am happy to have created a special keepsake for Stella.

Day 294 – Stella and I spent an hour at the fabric store as she considered all her (pink only) options for a personalized blanket. I sewed the pieces together Next, I’ll add some decorative stitching and her name as an appliqué.

Day 292 – All the back closures are finished and the puppets are nested together. I’m still working on just the right face and expression – gender neutral. Thanks Laurie.

Day 291 – More progress on the 5 nesting puppets. The slit opening on the back of each one uses a different closure. The smallest has 1 zipper. The next has 2 Velcro strips. Then 3 snaps, 4 buttons, and finally, 5 eyelets for tying a lace. I’m still working on the face and expression.
