Day 301 – After trying out many more combinations, I’ve finally settled on this face for the nested bear puppets. Part hand-sewn felt and part embroidery, it is going to take me awhile to finish all 5.

Day 300 – Playing with paper. Just a blind doodle that I cut and folded. Another version could be colored, but I like the starkness of this one.

Day 299 – Starting to piece together another t-shirt project. I’ll add long sleeves and a hood, I think.

Day 298 – Totally redesigning the “Changeling” series. Simpler shape, with more emphasis on the removeable face and writable surface beneath.

Day 297- Felted an XL crew neck wool sweater, cut it up and pieced it back together as a wrap. These alteration projects begin as a basic concept and evolve as I work with the fabric. Mistakes are incorporated and embraced…mostly.

Day 296 – Constructed a wrap shirt from two XL t-shirts. One of my favorite parts of the process is stitching t-shirt scraps over the existing graphics.

Day 295 – The blanket is finished, and although it is nothing I would ever choose for myself, I am happy to have created a special keepsake for Stella.

Day 294 – Stella and I spent an hour at the fabric store as she considered all her (pink only) options for a personalized blanket. I sewed the pieces together Next, I’ll add some decorative stitching and her name as an appliqué.

Day 293 – Trying to choose a face for the nesting puppets.
