Day 265 – A Halloween wreath using grapevine, black tulle bows, spider web, and spiders (the fake kind of course.) (Taken with Instagram)

Day 264 – Folded a few origami boxes from fused plastic sheets. I tried to make a star lid for the red/white masu box, but the thick plastic resisted the intricate folds. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 263 – …and the season of decoration begins. Some is homemade and some is store bought. These next three months will be full of creative opportunity around the various holidays. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 262 – Playing with my 2 yr old. She would doodle in pencil on a Post-it that I folded. Then I would cut out the “outside” shape. These were my favorites of all the ones we made. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 261 – I made some fused plastic sheets by ironing plastic grocery bags between 2 layers of parchment paper. I’ll eventually use the sheets for a couple project ideas. Fused plastic used to be one of my favorite things to make and use, but lately I can’t seem to get the sheets to fuse properly. Folding them more and making thicker sheets seems to help, but they are still slightly warped. Anyway, instead of throwing away the cut off handles and bag bottoms as usual, I decided to pile them randomly and fuse them together. I love the abstract, random composition. Maybe I’ll frame it. Day 259 – Creating some simple seasonal crafts to do with my girls this weekend. 3D and 2D pumpkins from Post-its, using the concept of symmetry. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 258 – Slow progress on the triptych. Each panel represents a dance – slow to fast. Each also represents one of three levels of society – self, family, community. The concept is still very sketchy. (Taken with Instagram)
