Day 245 – Collage with magazine paper. The process is additive, and I almost always try to build out to a rectangle. I love ordering and aligning the random pieces in my collection of magazine scraps. The precision is satisfying. Sigh. The detail and color are hard to capture with an iPhone. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 246 – Beginning a triptych pencil drawing as a way to start the creative process for a commissioned installation involving three doors. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 247 – I plan to create plush toys from both these drawings. I sketched the red one from the book, “Ella Sarah Gets Dressed.” It will be super soft and floppy. The brown one was drawn by my daughter when she was 6 yrs old. I love the ears, expression, and proportions. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 248 – My daughter had the idea to create a welcome path for new friends coming to dinner. I had only a supporting role in this creative project, but we had so much fun together that I had to share… (Taken with Instagram)

Day 249 – My floppy cat experiment (using a recycled t-shirt) is a challenge. The old t-shirt is too week for stuffing. The shape, as originally drawn, does not work in 3D. Weighted pellet are needed for to create the floppy effect. Onward. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 244 – So if the t-shirt and creature can swap faces, I suppose the expression needs to be different for each. I also decided to use black vinyl for the writable surface on the “boy” series. Did I mention I am also trying to come up with a better name for these things? Details, details. (Taken with Instagram)

Day 243 – Friends. The drunk one in the middle is the newest addition. I keep changing the smile on the blue one too. Each one is a little different as I play with proportion and placement of parts. (Taken with Instagram)
